Table of Contents

Summary

The Sprocket Table of Contents web part enables you to display the headings on your page at the top of the page. This facilitates easy access to various heading levels, especially on lengthy pages.
When your page is in Edit mode, click the icon, search for "Sprocket Table of Contents", and select the Sprocket Table of Contents web part from the results.

Configurations

After you select the Sprocket Table of Contents web part, click the Configure Web Part button or icon on the menu on the left of the web part to open the Configuration section on the right. In this section, you can perform the following configurations:

  1. Configure the following in the Display Options section:

    Show TitleClick to enable title display of the web part.
    Show in PanelClick to enable display of items in panel.
    StickyKeeps the table of contents visible as you scroll the page. For best results, add this web part to a vertical section by itself, without any other web parts.
    Data SourceSelect "Headings" to automatically generate the table of contents from page headings, or choose "LeftMenu" to display the site's left menu structure for easier page navigation.
    HTML TagsSelect the check boxes adjacent to the heading levels that you want to include in the table of contents. You have the option to select up to three heading levels.
    StyleChoose between 'List' to display the table of contents as a standard list with indented items for heading levels, or 'Buttons' to display each heading or menu item as a clickable button for a more modern, interactive appearance.
  2. Once all the required updates and configurations are performed, click Republish button to publish the page.

1. How many levels of headings can be included in the Table of Contents?
The Sprocket Table of Contents web part enables you to select up to six heading levels.

2. I selected LeftMenu but nothing appears.
To use the LeftMenu option, confirm that the Knowledge Hub is enabled in your Sprocket 365 settings. Additionally, make sure that there are child pages listed under the current page in the left navigation panel.
