The Sprocket Feedback web part enables users to provide feedback directly on specific SharePoint pages. This web part complements the Page Feedback feature available in Sprocket Settings, offering page authors the flexibility to place feedback collection exactly where it's needed. All feedback submissions are stored in the same SharePoint list used by the Page Feedback feature, ensuring centralized management and review of all user feedback across your site.
The Feedback web part provides a simple, intuitive interface with a star rating system and optional text comments, making it easy for users to share their thoughts and experiences. Administrators can review all submissions through the integrated feedback management interface.

Configuration
Adding the Web Part
- If you are not already in edit mode, click Edit at the top right of your page.
- Click the + icon to add a new web part to your page.
- Search for and select Sprocket Feedback.
- The web part will automatically provision the "Page Feedback" SharePoint list if it doesn't already exist.
- Click the Republish button to make the web part visible to users.
Managing Feedback Submissions
When editing a page with the Feedback web part:

Click the Manage Feedback button that appears in edit mode (located next to "Was this page helpful?")

This will open the "Page Feedback" SharePoint list in a new tab, where you can:
- Review all feedback submissions
- See ratings, comments, and page information
- Filter and sort submissions
- Respond to feedback as needed
Note: The Manage Feedback button is only visible in edit mode. The list is automatically provisioned when you add the web part to a page.
Submitting Feedback
Users can submit feedback by:

Clicking on the star rating (1-5 stars) to indicate their satisfaction level

Optionally entering additional comments in the "Tell us more..." text area that appears after selecting a rating

Clicking the Submit button to save their feedback

A success notification will confirm the submission
All feedback is automatically associated with the current page and stored in the SharePoint list for administrator review.
Tips for Best Results
- Power Automate Integration: Set up a Power Automate notification so you can be notified of any new feedback entries
- List Customization: Add additional columns to the "Page Feedback" list to manage submissions more effectively, such as Status, Assigned To, or Resolution Notes
- Placement: Consider placing the Feedback web part at the bottom of your page content to capture user feedback after they've read the page
