Search
Sprocket's exclusive "Search" web part allows administrators to add a customizable search box to any SharePoint page. This webpart is not included in standard Sharepoint. The Search web part provides control over parameters like height, placeholder text, and advanced settings. Administrators can enhance the search functionality and optimize the browsing experience for users. The search is site specific and allows users to access libraries within the site simply by searching keywords.
How to configure Search web part
- If you are not already in edit mode on your page, select Edit on the top right of the page.
- Select Edit details
at the top of the web part - Hover over the
icon and type ‘Search Sprocket’ - Toggle ‘Show title’ On/Off
- Toggle ‘Show in panel’ On/Off
- Customise placeholder text if desired.
- Input search scope URL path to selected site
- Select Republish to save
