Â
Let’s dive in and see what’s new.Â

Unified Web Part Experience
Consistent configuration for News and Events Web Parts
In Sprocket 365 version 6.1, we’ve unified the configuration settings of the Events, News Hub, Daily News Feed and Calendar Web Parts. No matter which one you’re using, you’ll find them much easier to set up and manage.Â
This enhancement comes with a new toggle feature that allows you to effortlessly look through all sites within your hub, streamlining the set-up process with complete consistency across these Web Parts.
In the settings panel, we’ve added new dropdown options for selecting the site and list you want to use in the Web Part. For example, you can choose the HR site and its events list.
Additionally, a colour picker enables you to assign custom colour tags to your items, adding a layer of personalisation.Â
Recurring Events
Sprocket 365 now supports recurring events in SharePointÂ
This update brings a major new feature: you can now create recurring events in the Calendar and Events Web Parts, a highly requested function that wasn’t available in standard SharePoint.
Now, scheduling regular events such as weekly meetings or monthly reviews is possible. This means less manual work for you, making it easier to keep your calendar and event lists up to date.Â
Note that recurring events aren’t supported in SharePoint’s Modern view. To set them up, you’ll need to use the Classic view via Site Content and the event lists. Here, when you add an event, like a weekly Wednesday meeting, allowing you to select how often it recurs such as daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.
After you set it up, these recurring events will show up in the Modern view of your SharePoint Calendar or Events Hub.
Accordion
Rich text updates directly in the settings panel
Adding content to the Accordion Web Part just got easier. Before, adding rich text to accordions meant extra steps via the SharePoint list option. With the latest update, you can now directly add rich text to accordions using the editor inside the Web Parts settings panel (as shown below).
This means you can effortlessly include hyperlinks, change text styles and apply colours right from the settings panel, making it simpler to create engaging FAQs, guides or any informational content for your SharePoint site pages.Â
These improvements offer a faster, more direct way to get your content looking and functioning exactly how you want it, all from within the Web Part settings panel.Â
Custom Header
Mega menu sub divider colour picker
Version 6.1 introduces a new sub-navigation divider colour picker, allowing for further customisation of your site’s mega menu appearance with a few simple clicks. Â
Â
Simply go to the Sprocket settings, head over to the Header section and find the sub-navigation divider colour choice. With the colour picker, you can select and set the perfect colour for your mega menu’s dividers. Once you save your choice, you’ll see the change as you hover over menu items, adding an extra splash of colour to your mega menu. Â
This update enhances your menu with colours that fit your site’s theme and branding, making it look better and neatly dividing your menu columns.
