Solutions for common Template Gallery issues.


  • Sprocket may not be installed - Contact your SharePoint administrator
  • You may not have permission - Contact your Site Owner
  • Try clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page

I Can't Apply a Template

"Permission Denied"

You need Site Owner permissions to apply templates. Contact your administrator.

"License Expired" or "No Valid License"

Your organization's Sprocket license needs to be renewed. Contact your Sprocket administrator.

Template is Greyed Out

The template isn't compatible with your site type. Team Site templates only work on Team Sites, and Communication Site templates only work on Communication Sites.


Template Application Failed

  1. Check the error message for details
  2. Click View Logs to see what went wrong
  3. Click Retry to try again
  4. If the problem continues, contact support with the error details
