## Sprocket Orbit

A markdown wiki that lives inside Microsoft Teams and your Microsoft 365 tenant.

Orbit is licensed per editor. Read-only users are unlimited and always free.

- Price: $0/month
- Limits: First 10 editors on every tenant, permanently. Unlimited readers.
- Requirements: No payment details and no trial request form. Starting in the browser needs only a Microsoft sign-in; adding the Teams app needs permission to install apps in the tenant
- Features: Full product. Markdown wiki, real-time co-authoring, backlinks, workspace graph, MCP access for AI assistants, storage in your own OneDrive and SharePoint

- Features: Same as free tier, without the editor limit

### Notes

- Readers never consume a licence, on any plan.
- The first 10 editors are always free and are never billed, on any plan.
- A tenant with 40 editors on annual billing pays for 30: $300/month, regardless of how many people read.
- Content is stored as plain markdown files in the customer's own OneDrive and SharePoint. There is no export step if the subscription ends.

- Limits: Up to 1,500 users, fully functional, support included
- Requirements: No credit card

### Paid

Tiered per-user pricing on a rolling 30-day active-user model. The rate steps
down as the user count grows, and the total caps at 1,500 users.

- 1 to 99 users: $2.50/user/month
- 100 to 249 users: $2.00/user/month for users above 100
- 250 to 499 users: $1.50/user/month for users above 250
- 500 to 1,499 users: $1.00/user/month for users above 500
- 1,500+ users: Capped. Additional users included at no extra cost.

- Annual billing: 10% discount
- Billing: Monthly or annual, auto-renews, cancel anytime

### Notes

- Rolling 30-day active-user licensing. A licence is consumed when a unique Microsoft 365 user loads a Sprocket web part. If that user does not access Sprocket for 30 days or more, the licence returns to the pool automatically.
- You buy for your monthly active population, not your total headcount.
- Guest accounts never consume a licence.
- On cancellation, web parts stop working and your SharePoint content remains intact.
